I was just seven years old when I first experienced assault in my life. I was returning from the fields with my friend and suddenly a boy grabbed me and started touching me indecently in my private parts. I was terrified and was crying for help.
Fortunately my friend Usha (name changed) ran away and brought my parents immediately. The boy was badly thrashed, but there was no legal action taken against him. I was saved from a terrible fate but I could never forget that incident.
Last year we were introduced to the critical dialogues by Digital Study Hall(DSH) I wish I was aware about my rights then I could have voiced my anger, I could have forced my parents to go to the police and appealed for justice. Its not fair that he did something wrong but I had to suffer for it.
