Prerna girl rescued from domestic violence during the Lockdown
During the lockdown, there was a steep rise in cases of violence against women and girls. On April 18, Kushboo, a 16 year-old girl from Prerna Girls School called her teacher Aarti and told her that her uncle had bitten her and her mother. Her teacher informed the Aarohini team about the case and also told that this is not the first time the girl and her mother faced such incidents. The Aarohini team reported the case to the childline of Lucknow. On the request of Aarohini team, Sangeeta ji from Childline Lucknow went to Khushboo's house on 19th April and spoke to victim’s uncle. She warned him and also informed the nearby police station. Khushboo's uncle apologized to Khushboo's mother and promised not to repeat such kind of behavior in future. The team is keeping in touch with Khusboo to know of her well being.
