SAMPARK – Connecting and Changing Lives

For the past two years a number of families that came to Lucknow in search of work have built their temporary shelters under, the arches of the over bridge leading to the Janeshwar Mishra park in Gomti Nagar .This over bridge is very close to Study hall school , where the students are constantly inspired to help the underprivileged. This settlement was noticedby a student of the school. This led to the formation of ‘SAMPARK- a social service group for connecting and changing, the lives of the people living in that area. The people staying there do not have civic amenities and have to struggle to get water for daily use. To solve this issue SAMPARK approached the District Magistrate to seek his help for  installing a hand pump near that area which would provide clean drinking water to them .

The group saw that there was no concept of family planning and there were many sick adults and children .So theyorganised a health camp for which doctors were called and almost a hundred persons got free consultation and medicines.SAMPARK will continue the efforts to bring relief to the settlement they have adopted.
