It a moment of pride for Study Hall Educational Foundation to organize the 8th convocation for Prerna Girls School (school to educate underprivileged girls). the convocation was held on October 22 at Study Hall school to felicitate the students to who have successfully cleared their class 10th and 12th examination. Also, the Prerna Alumni who have gone to complete their graduation and Post graduation was awarded the scholarship. The students who are pursuing their undergraduate are awarded Late Sundari Devi Kapoor Memorial Scholarship of Rs.5000 each and Prerna alumni who are pursuing their post-graduation are awarded Late Rajendra Mohini Satyapal Malhotra Memorial scholarship of Rs. 20,000 each.
The ceremony started by welcoming the guest and followed by the student’s and Principal’s speech. Students sang the song and continued the ceremony by felicitating class 9th and 11th meritorious students. The felicitation continued by felicitating the meritorious of class 12th, 10th and rest of passed out students of 10th and 12th.
Student Pooja Sen shared, how she has seen herself growing, developing and empowering. Later the Alumni who are graduated and post graduated were felicitated. Laxmi Nishad, Prerna Alum, currently working as Sales Head at Shiva Enterprise also shared her experience. She thanked Dr. Urvashi Sahni and other teachers for the support she has received.
On this Occasion, Dr. Urvashi Sahni, CEO of the Study Hall Educational Foundation, addressed the students and said, education has helped alumnae to create their goals, and the willingness of studying helped them to reach their goals. she added, the story of girls is inspiring and every girl is special in her own way.
Adding to Dr. Sahni’s point the chief guest said, Education is for everyone, it is the weapon that helps to fight issues like child marriage, dowry and many other issues.
The ceremony continued with a delightful dance performance. The ceremony finished up with a vote of thanks and National Anthem.
